Hosting. This website is delivered by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes server log data: the IP address of your device, date and time of the request, the address requested and the amount of data transferred, the HTTP status code, the referring page where one exists, and browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel keeps these logs only briefly. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers the transfer to the USA (Art. 45 GDPR).
Reach measurement. To see how often the website is visited, which pages are read and which links bring visitors here, we use Vercel Web Analytics. When you open a page, a small script loaded from quittora.com itself reports to Vercel: the address of the page, the referring page if you came from another website, and the time. From the request, Vercel also derives your approximate location (country, region, city), browser, operating system and device type. To count visits, Vercel forms a hash from the request that is discarded after 24 hours. No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device; we only see aggregated statistics, never individual visitors, and nothing is linked with other websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website with a data-minimising measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time: if your browser sends “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track”, the script is not loaded at all; tracking blockers also prevent the measurement.
No cookies. The website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and loads nothing from other servers: fonts and images come from quittora.com itself. A small script, also from quittora.com, runs the menu and the animations and loads the Microsoft Store rating through quittora.com: our server asks the Microsoft Store for it, your browser does not connect to Microsoft for this.
E-mail. If you e-mail us, we process your address and the content to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that or for statutory retention periods.
Microsoft Store. The "Get it from Microsoft Store" buttons link to the Microsoft Store. Microsoft's privacy statement applies there.
Your rights. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR); an informal e-mail is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at).
The Quittora app
This section describes how the Windows app Quittora handles data. It is based on the app's source code (version 0.1); the same statement is linked from the Microsoft Store listing.
The short version
- No account, no server of our own, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reports, no advertising.
- UT-Systems receives no data from the app. Documents, recognized details and the database stay on your PC.
What the app processes on your PC
- Documents. Files you drag in, choose, or place in a watched folder. The app reads their text (PDF text layer, embedded e-invoice or Windows text recognition) and recognizes details such as date, issuer, amounts, VAT ID and IBAN.
- Database. The recognized details, the full text for search, learned rules, your settings and "My details" (name, VAT ID, IBAN) are kept in a file under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Quittora. Before updates the app keeps a backup of the database in itsbackupsfolder there; further backups only when you create them. - Filing. The app moves or copies documents into your library. When moving across drives, originals go to the recycle bin, never deleted for good.
- Log. A technical log (start, errors, paths) under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Quittora\logs, kept for 14 days. - Licence. The start date of the trial and an entered licence key, protected with the Windows data protection API (DPAPI), in the database and in the registry (
HKCU\Software\Quittora).
Internet connections
| Connection | When | What | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Store (Store version only) | at start and when buying | The app asks the Microsoft Store for the licence state (trial or bought) and, on request, opens the Store's purchase dialog. | Microsoft's privacy statement applies. |
| Shop page (direct version only) | when you click "Buy full version" | Your browser opens the shop page. The app itself sends nothing. | – |
Otherwise the app makes no connections. Licence keys of the direct version are checked offline. Updates of the Store version come through the Microsoft Store.
Your rights
Since UT-Systems receives no data from the app, there is nothing for us to disclose or delete about it. You delete all of the app's data by uninstalling it and removing the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\Quittora and the registry key HKCU\Software\Quittora. Your library is not touched.
